The Best Health Government Benefits

Government benefit programs are an extremely important resource for the American people going through financial hardships, because this lets us know that the Government still cares and wants us to succeed. Programs like Medicaid, Food Stamps, etc. serves as a temporary help to those who have gone through life and seem to be at the bottom right now. When lay-offs happen, a medical emergency comes about, or debt spirals out of control, the people don’t need more education or someone to tell us that we’re lazy and just don’t want to work, but a simple lending hand will do.

The government serves as a lending hand to those that need it, and this puts our faith back into the government to pay taxes, be law abiding citizens, and vote. There are many families in America today that will not have any groceries if they did not receive Food Stamps, and many families who could not afford the house they live in without rent assistance. These programs show that the government cares if we are able to pay rent, or have food in the house to feed families. Without government assistance programs all faith American people have in the government would be gone. Then when it comes to building the economy no one will spend money for the lack of trust on where the money goes, or around tax season there will be millions of unpaid taxes, and the election poll numbers will be drastically low. Government benefit programs are resources we depend on to make it day by day in the United States.

Effectiveness of government benefit programs can use some improvements for sure. The number one flaw is, a majority of people who have no other financial source but the government. This is neither right nor wrong because, everyone can’t bounce back in just one month or two, but assistance is taken some times as an enablement for many citizens. One thing the government can do is limit the amount of time resources are used for, and have strict deadlines as to how long a receiver can get the assistance.

The next step is ensuring that the recipients of any programs can be properly equipped to provide for themselves. Learning workshops can be placed or attended to teach the public about proper money budgeting, eating healthy, reduce debt classes, proper job training, etc. This can also be a requirement that all recipients attend a seminar once a month on one of the following topics. Instead of just serving as a ‘hand-out’ the government also builds a strong nation of people in the process so the assistance programs are not permanent solutions. Cutting the programs completely will only cause uproar in public body, but just restricting the policy in which citizens receive assistance helps both the recipient and the government.
